Time Guesthouse

Time Guesthouse

Time Guesthouse is by far the best guesthouse I have ever stayed in. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing, and the staff makes it feel as if it is your second home. Not only are they friendly, they are readily available to answer any questions or give you plenty of advice on where to visit around Seoul.

This amazing painting was done by a 19 year-old girl studying in Hongik University. The details of this painting are incredible, and really helps to bring the artistic vibe Hongdae is known for to the guesthouse.

By far one of the best games I have ever played. This was my favorite game in the states, and I was so shocked to see it here. I spent many hours playing this with other guests.

Living Room

On the tables there are notebooks filled with memos from guests who have left comments for the staff and for other future guests. Some guests even drew pictures or wrote poems if they didn't know what to say. It is so amazing to read through this and see the heartwarming comments from some of the guests. If you have a chance to stay here, definitely read through these and leave your own personal comment.

Kitchen

In the kitchen there is everything guests need to cook simple snacks or meals at their leisure. The kitchen also includes a minicafe with a variety of coffees and teas for the guests. In the morning, breakfast is held from 7am-10am. Many guests go in an out all day long, but during breakfast time you can see most of the guests joining together to eat, even those who are still half asleep.

Tours

Time Guesthouse also offers deals on tours around Seoul for those guests who do not have anything particularly planned for their trip. Tours include amusement parks, DMZ, performances, and even a ski trip during the winter. The prices are discounted so if you have a chance, I recommend to participate in some of these tours.

Room A

Room A is a shared room between male and female. It accommodates 4 people, which you can share with other guests or with 3 of your friends.

Room B

This room is the men's dorm, and holds up to 8 people. However, if the other rooms are too full, or guests would like to stay with some of  their friends, girls are allowed to stay in this room as well.

Room C

Room C is strictly a women's only dorm, and can hold up to eight people. A large bathroom is also included in this room for Room C guests only.

Room D

This is the big downstairs family room. This can be used for a group of friends or family, holding up to 4 people at a time. There is a large bathroom, closets, and mini kitchen included in the room. This room is great for larger groups who want a private room during their stay in Seoul.

Come again~!!

I highly recommend this guesthouse. It has several great amenities, an amazing staff, and a very clean and relaxing atmosphere. For your convenience I have included room rates and website below.

Room A: 23,000 won/per person (10,000 for extra person)
Room B: 22,000 won/per person (10,000 for extra person)
Room C: 22,000 won/per person (10,000 for extra person)
Room D: 100,000 won/room (15,000 for extra person)

If you stay for more than one week there is a 5% discount, for long-term stays the price can be negotiated.

If you have a chance to visit Seoul and you are looking for a cheap and comfortable place to stay, Time Guesthouse is a great way to go. Staying in another country can be confusing and lonely at times, but the staff here will make sure you feel comfortable and at home while you are traveling here in Seoul.

Welcome to Seoul

First of all, I would like to say thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Kesley, and I just finished my undergraduate education here in Seoul. I have been living in Seoul for the past year and have accumulated so many pictures of Korea, but unfortunately I never quite had the time to post them up. Well that's not entirely true, part of me was too lazy to sort through my thousands of random pictures in order to find things to post up on a blog. However, one day while looking through some of my pictures I realized that it was a waste to keep them all to myself. I am by far not the best photographer, so believe me the pictures are not all that nice, but I hope that through my pictures you will be able see a whole new side to Korea and become intrigued enough to visit this amazing place.

As I am currently living in Seoul, many of the pictures I post up will be from around the city. However, as I travel around this summer to many different places outside of Seoul, I will also post up some pictures from my adventures. Please check back periodically to find out what new places I have visited. :)
